Living Will

(2007, 5:45 minutes)

Written, Directed and Performed by

Gerald Schoenewolf

In LIVING WILL, Maxwell Sneed records his last will and testament.  This, however, is not going to be your ordinary living will, as Maxwell has a few surprises in store for his two sons and his two daughters-in-law, who have been impatiently awaiting his demise.  Schoenewolf shot this film in one sitting in his home in the woods of Pennsylvania.  He set his canon MiniDV camera on a tripod, turned it on, and did several takes of the script he had previously written.  The entire production cost only six dollars for the film.  LIVING WILL has been uploaded to the IFC website and is begin submitted to festivals.

A Word about Independent Spirits

(2007, 118 minutes)

Written, Directed and Performed by

Gerald Schoenewolf

A WORD ABOUT INDEPENDENT SPIRITS was made specifically for a contest held by the Independent Film Channel (IFC), open to filmmakers around the world.  In this 2-minute comedic film a man who is “possessed” and definitely independent gives a brief talk, accompanied by wild surges of “spirit.”  Schoenewolf shot and performed this film on the same weekend that he shot LIVING WILL.
