Living Center Films is a small, independent production company devoted to producing feature films that have psychological meaning.  It is a branch of The Living Center, an organization that specializes in psychoanalysis for people in the arts.

Living Center Films is located in the Gramercy section of New York.  The company came into existence out of a desire to create movies that address issues that others are avoiding.  The goal is not just to entertain, but also to enlighten and touch by exploring subjects without false sentiment.  As Shakespeare noted, the job of the artist is to hold the mirror to nature, to tell the truths that need to be told.

The production company was founded in the summer of 2004 by Gerald Schoenewolf, who had absolutely no experience in making movies.  It has plans to produce at least one movie a year.   The advent of digital photography has made movie making easier, less expensive, and more accessible to everyone.

In the summer of 2004 Living Center Films produced its first feature film, The Interview, which was shot on location in New York with a Canon GL2 MiniDV camcorder and starred Osa Wallander and Scott Mitchell Kelly.  The second production by Living Center Films, THERAPY, was filmed in the summer of 2005 and starred Alex Emanuel, Lisa McKellar, Karen Lynn Gorney, Bern Cohen, Natasha Pachano and Bob Walz.  For more information on these productions click the proper link.
